The Role Of Tourism In The Diversification Of Investments In Algeria: Analytical Study Of The Period 2000-2023

Abstract
International tourism is an important part of economic growth in developing countries. For many less developed and developing countries, but favoured by attractive climatic conditions, tourism increasingly appears as one of the decisive opportunities and a key factor necessary for job creation and wealth; it is the most effective option in the financial and economic realm. For other countries, it is a primary source of foreign currency savings. This study examines the economic importance of tourism investments in Algeria to diversify investments and economic development from 2000 to 2020. The results showed that Algeria's tourism market evolved during the studied period; however, the tourism sector's contribution has remained weak despite some developments.
