This article examines the impact of economic policy decisions on the Algerian economy. It aims to study the relationship between Economic Dynamics: The Pillars of Growth shaped by Decisions in Economic Policy in the Algerian economy during the period 1990-2023. To achieve this, the study relies on econometric modeling (VAR), allowing the testing of the effectiveness of economic policy decisions on economic activity. The results show that economic policy decisions play a significant role as determinants of the variation in economic growth in Algeria. The contribution of credit to the economy and the exchange rate to the variation in economic growth is modest in the short term, but their impact improves in the medium and long term. This can be explained by the fact that the hydrocarbons sector is considered the primary economic resource. The contribution of the trade balance and national savings stimulates economic growth. This is explained by the fact that local businesses benefit from sustained foreign demand, thereby promoting production and employment. Furthermore, when national savings are directed towards productive investments, such as expanding businesses, developing new technologies, or infrastructure, it can positively contribute to economic growth. These investments increase productivity and stimulate economic activity.
