This study covers the objectives of guidance in Surat Al-Sharh, by presenting the opinions and deductions of interpreters regarding the objectives of guidance within this Surah. The study deals with enumerating the blessings that Allah, the Almighty, bestowed upon His Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), which necessitates gratitude. These blessings include endowing him with patience to receive the heavenly message, and elevating the Prophet's (peace be upon him) status in both this world and the Hereafter through prophet hood and invoking blessings upon the Prophet, besides other great blessings. The Surah conveys the principle that with hardship comes ease, after distress comes relief, and after defeat comes victory. These are among the universal laws upon which the universe was created, as evident in the biography of the Messenger (peace be upon him) in carrying out his message, and the harassment he faced until Allah, the Almighty, completed His light, supported His servant, and provided the Messenger (peace be upon him) as a good example to follow.
