Abstract
Summary: It happened The Russian school of formalism was a tremendous shift in literature, criticism, and art, and it served the science of narration with a set of effective approaches and methodologies for analyzing narrative and narrative texts in deconstruction and synthesis. Vladimir Propp is considered one of its pioneers and the most important Russian scholars in folk literature, as he adopted a morphological formalist approach in his study of Russian folk tales. Therefore, I will try to This article examines the emergence and development of Russian formalism, then I will touch on its most important foundations, and after that I will study morphology and the mechanisms of morphological analysis according to Vladimir Propp. This is for the theoretical aspect. As for the applied approach, I will address the morphological analysis of the folk tale “Longa.”
