We think that the Algerian's enthusiasm for poetry is similar to the enthusiasm of their Arab and Muslim brothers in Islamic deeds, in jihad, revolution and resistance of the enemies, in defense of their countries and the symbols of the Algerian identity in its full meaning without exclusion, failing or doubt. This is because Algerians are renowned, before and after Islam spread in Algeria, for trustfulness of their country, conservativeness of their pride, protectiveness of their country. In addition, they are proud and courageous throughout history. No man with reason doubts that Islam is the right religion which Allah reserved for His worshippers. This religion preserves the dignity of man in general, not the Muslims alone. This fact was epitomized by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) with people from various races, nations and civilizations at that time. Whole nations enjoyed unparalleled guidance, mercy, humanness in all times. The Algerian man symbolized the white Islamic tolerance, and the tolerant, innocent humanity that is devoid of any kind of enmity, unfairness or violence. However, he is stubborn in confronting religious infidelity, vengefulcrusading and all kinds of colonialism. Armed with his religion, patriotism, history, language, customs, traditions, glorious deeds, and Islamic and Arab specificities…to counter boldly any injustice, greed, fraud or avidity. He is famous for his determination to defend, resist, revolt and militate. Therefore, we seek to present here a study that highlights Algerian resistance and revolutions to redeem their liberty by fire and arrow as well as pen and elocution, among which we find standard Arabic poetry and dialectical popular poetry. It is the poetry written during the days of fighting usurper enemy and the days of freedom. We select a number of poets who portrayed Algerian reactions that antagonize any aggression. We survey their visions, analyze their artistic rhetoricalaesthetics lexicographically, syntactically, figuratively and rhythmically.
