This study explores Immanuel Kant’s views on the act of philosophizing and its relevance to modern education in Algeria. Kant advocates philosophical thinking over merely studying philosophy's history, focusing on critical and independent thought. In the context of Algeria and the implementation of Competency-Based Approach (CBA), this aligns with key goals like enhancing problem-solving and critical thinking. The study conducts a critical literature review to assess how Kant’s approach could enhance CBA by encouraging self-reflection and independent thinking. Findings suggest that integrating philosophizing into CBA can deepen Algerian students’ cognitive abilities and better prepare them for real-world challenges.
