Authors : Boukais Fouzia .

Abstract

Abstract: The research aims are analyzing the vision of one of the Algerian creators who was absorbed the scene of the forces controlling Algeria over successive periods. Which did not cease to liberate itself from the shackles of Ottoman domination until it fell under the more predatory authority of colonial France. From here, the novelist drew the boundaries of the world of his novel that rejects silence, and even embodies the extension of the worlds of the collective self from a historical perspective. It is a qualitative transformation witnessed by the path of the formation of the contemporary Algerian novel. As the novel 'The Spartan Court' by 'Abdelwahab Issaoui'. The subject of the study is considered a model for that, as it was dealt with a sensitive period in the Algerian history . That is qualified it to be a valuable qualitative addition in the literary field and a historical cognitive enrichment at the same time. This is due to the novel's reliance on the pulse of history and its changes in an exciting narrative form that attracts the reader and stimulates research into the subtle secrets of the details of various events, facts and historical landmarks. To achieve the objectives of this study, I relied on analyzing the narrative structure represented in the temporal, spatial, linguistic and character manifestations of the novel, as it, according to this approach, reflects a symbolic historical era from the perspective of defending identity, consolidating the history of the nation, and expressing Algerian reality with all its social, political, civilization and historical manifestations.
