Abstract: The study addressed the relationship between recreational sports activities and the prevention of chronic diseases from a theoretical perspective, showing the positive impact of these activities in improving overall health and delaying the onset of chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, obesity, cancer, and mental illness. The study emphasized the importance of regular physical activity in preventing these diseases by promoting physical fitness, improving metabolism, strengthening the immune system, reducing inflammation, reducing stress, strengthening social bonds, and increasing a sense of happiness and belonging. The study used theoretical frameworks such as "social cognition theory" and the "stages of change model" to explain the impact of physical activity participation, and reviewed the epidemiological evidence and clinical trials that support its protective benefits. It concludes with recommendations for strengthening public health programs, designing community-based programs to increase participation, and educating individuals about the health and psychological benefits of these activities.
