Abstract : This study addressed "Difficulties in written expression activity in Arabic language subject among fifth-grade primary school students." The aim of this study was to reveal the prevalence of difficulties in written expression among fifth-grade primary school students in Arabic language subjects, identify their types, and reveal whether there are differences in these difficulties attributed to the gender factor among the study sample members. To test the study hypotheses, the descriptive approach was employed by applying the content analysis technique to 82 notebooks of fifth-grade primary school students in the written expression activity collected from some primary schools in the municipality of Barhal, where we reached: - The existence of varying difficulties among students in the written expression activity in Arabic language subject, where the percentage of errors in the validity criterion was estimated at: (13.68%), and in the consistency and coherence criterion at (36%), and as for the language integrity criterion, the percentage was (30.97%) and in the mastery criterion (19.34%). - There are differences between males and females in committing errors in the written expression activity in favor of females, with an error rate estimated at (58.49%). In comparison, males made an error rate of (41.51%).
