Abstract: Wars and conflicts greatly affect the economies of countries and their agricultural activities, due to the negative effects they have on agricultural infrastructure, irrigation canals and water sources, whether ground or surface. They also cause the populations displacement and their migration to their land, so agricultural lands remain unexploited, which It causes a lack of production, and thus the loss of large shares of the supply of foodstuffs and agricultural products. If we add to it the blockade that countries impose on each other, as well as the risks that threaten export routes, most notably the targeting of grain-carrying ships, which is what Russia threatened Ukrainian ships in the Black Sea with. In the recent war, all of these reasons make global food security a major threat, especially with regard to poor, fragile countries that depend mainly on imports or on foreign aid for their food, and which may witness famines that threaten their existence with prolonged conflicts.
