الملخص
Despite the establishment of translation studies as an independent discipline a few decades ago, translation criticism remains marginalized in academic circles, unlike literary criticism. However, translation professionals are now recognizing the need to establish rules and set standards to regulate the massive production of literary translations. From this perspective, this research comes as an attempt to introduce the most influential translation criticism approaches through highlighting their advantages and shortcomings, and subsequently to suggest an approach that seeks to encompass the major aspects of the translated literary text and consider its implications after entering the target culture. The proposed approach is meant to be more comprehensive, easier to apply, and more beneficial for researchers.
