The Covid 19 pandemic has profoundly changed consumer behavior worldwide. The objective of this study is to analyze the impact of this pandemic on the online purchasing habits of consumers in Algeria. Our results show a significant increase in online purchases of food products during the containment period, a trend driven by the closure of retail outlets and health concerns. Age, gender and income level are identified as key factors influencing online shopping adoption rates. Regarding post-pandemic trends, although online purchasing continues after the pandemic, consumers show a tendency to return to physical shops for certain product categories.
