Public Investment Expenditures And Future Sustainability In Algeria An Econometric Analysis Using The Ardl Approach

Abstract

This study aims to highlight the role of public investment expenditures in achieving future sustainability in Algeria using the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model for the extended period (1990-2022). The study found a long-term and short-term equilibrium relationship between the study variables. Additionally, the study demonstrated the positive impact of public investment expenditures in the long term. This can be explained by the fact that the government's continued investment in public investment expenditures positively affects future sustainability in both the long and short term, thereby creating job opportunities eyword: .
