Roman Expansionism In North Africa During The First Century -the Policy Of Abundant Food And Water At The Expense Of Numidian Lands-

Authors : Amadj Belkacem .

Abstract

This research aims to shed light on the economic aspects of the lem that the Romans established on the outskirts of the desert in the Numidia region, by studying the archaeological remains in the northern desert, especially the areas adjacent to the valleys. This research is important because it contributes to our understanding of the Roman Empire in North Africa. The study found that the abundance of food and water had a mixed effect on Numidian lands. This led to an increase in agricultural production and an increase in population. On the other hand, this led to the displacement of the Numidians from their lands and a decline in their economic situation.
