Nowadays, printed circuit boards (PCBs) are so short and high density that diagnosing and detecting defects becomes an increasingly difficult task. In this paper, we suggest using two recent bio-inspired optimization methods called sine cosine algorithm (SCA) and Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO) to find the optimal parameters for the rigid transformation of PCB images. The comparative performances of these methods have been studied and the best meta- heuristic optimization method is identified. Simulation results show that Grey Wolf Optimizer achieves extremely accurate and robust recording compared to SCA methods.
