Limitations Of Victorian Women Through Charlotte Bronte’s Three Novels : Jane Eyre, Shirley , And The Professor

Abstract
Abstract: The present research probes to explore the limitations from which women suffered in the patriarchal society during the Victorian era. In her three major masterpieces, Charlotte Bronte tends to shed light on women hard circumstances in the Victorian Era and their struggle to put an end to the limitations of their role to house wives and mothers. From a feminist theory point of view and with elegance and a very fine style full of introspection, spontaneous emotions, and private symbolism, Charlotte succeeded in providing high portraits through her three novels: Jane Eyre, Shirley and The professor. Charlotte experienced herself many of the Victorian’s challenges that made her with her siblings taste the bitterness of such a vile patriarchal Victorian society. Though, women’s protests and rational claims for a better life and fair rights of surviving, Victorian women failed to reach their freedom and realize their wishes of independence . Résumé: La présente recherche explore les limites dont les femmes ont souffert durant la société patriarcale à l’époque victorienne. Dans ses trois œuvre majeurs, l’enquête de Charlotte Brontë tend à faire la lumière sur les circonstances difficiles des femmes à l’époque victorienne et leur lutte pour mettre un terme aux limites de leur rôle uniquement autant que femmes au foyer ou bien des mamans. Du point de vue féministe, avec une grande élégance et un style littéraire très fin plein d’introspection, d’émotions spontanées et de symbolisme privé, Charlotte Brontë a réussi à fournir des portraits très sublimes à travers ses trois œuvres : Jane Eyre, Shirley et le professeur. Charlotte a elle-même fait l’expérience de nombreux défis de l’époque victorienne qui lui ont fait goûter à l’amertume d’une société victorienne patriarcale aussi vile. Bien que les protestations des femmes et leurs revendications rationnelles pour une vie meilleure et des droits équitables de survie, les femmes victoriennes n’ont pas réussi à atteindre leur liberté et à réaliser leurs souhaits d’indépendance. الملخص يهدف البحث الحالي الي تسليط الضوء علي القيود التي كانت تعاني منها النساء في المجتمع الذكوري خلال العصر الفيكتوري. فمن خلال روائعها الثلاث ،تطرقت شارلوت برونتي باسهاب إلى الظروف الصعبة التي عايشتها المرأة في العصر الفيكتوري وكفاحها الدائم للقضاء علي القيود التي تجعل دورها يقتصر على ان تكون ام او ربة بيت. فمن وجهة نظر نسوية وبأناقة وأسلوب رائع للغاية مليء بالاستبطان والعواطف العفوية والرمزية الخاصة، نجحت شارلوت في تقديم صور عالية من خلال رواياتها الثلاث: جين آير وشيرلي والأستاذ. لقد عانت شارلوت من العديد من تحديات العصر الفيكتوري التي جعلتها مع شقيقاتها تتذوق مرارة و ظلم هذا المجتمع الفيكتوري الذكوري. على الرغم من ذلك، فإن احتجاجات النساء والمطالبات العقلانية بحياة أفضل وحقوق عادلة للاستمتاع بحياة افضل، فشلت النساء الفيكتوريات في الوصول إلى حريتهن وتحقيق رغباتهن في الاستقلالية .
