Abstract
Political hiring based on electoral mechanisms represents a predominant pathway to public sector employment, especially in municipal settings. The mayor, as the pivotal figure responsible for the effective administration of this service, which epitomizes regional decentralization and autonomous management, bears a significant burden. Considering the relative ease with which one may assume the mayoral role, it is imperative to underscore the responsibilities, particularly those pertaining to the financial governance of municipalities under local fiscal statutes.
