The French Annales School’s Approach To History

Abstract
The new problems that have been raised again by the most who are interested in historical studies, from historians, philosophers, and thinkers, were the result of the changes in the methods and schools of historical writing since the beginning of the twentieth century. However, this century can be considered the beginning of a new form of historical thinking. And many transformations create a break with the different forms of writing and interpreting history that came before. In addition to being the scientific study of the past human events, history is known as the relationship between past phenomena, specific to the human life, the lives of societies, and individuals. For these conditions, a group of French historians created a new vision for history studies called the Annales School through an academic journal Annales, Histoire, Sciences Sociales.
