Apologizing For The Historical Wrongs And Its Role In Establishing Reconciliation Among Nations

Abstract
In some countries, apologizing for historical wrongs against some people has become a widespread phenomenon. In the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries, apology has become a feature of society, leading some to call it the age of apology or the era of apology culture. In this paper, the author raises the question of whether political apology is effective in establishing international and national peace. Is political apology possible as a means of ending and resolving conflicts so that constructive relations can be reopened? In order to answer this question, the paper identifies some basic concepts related to political apology, as well as its most important contemporary applications based on the following axes: First axis: apology's meaning, types, and most significant conditions. The second axis: Apology and Reconciliation
