Résumé
This article deals with a theorical content explaining the contribution of so-called "urban" sociolinguistics to general sociolinguistics and proposes to underline the contribution of Professor Thierry BULOT to this field of study. Firstly as a researcher and secondly as an engaged sociolinguist whose works demonstrate a theoretical and methodological enrichment that combines the challenges of this discipline, making the city a key word around which other concepts gravitate allowing to consider urban space as a sociolinguistic space to be redefined permanently.
