Abstract It is known that the media has a vital role in informing the audience about the world. It forms and constructs the events using specific mechanism among these; images. The images as Dr Abd Mogaith (1993) clarified are manufactured, and include complex technical process to compose symbols of media message. This industrial process appears as one of the outputs media content such as news, entertainment materials like drama, documentary films, and other media content. Therefore, media images provide deep comprehensive to identify values behind these images, more than stereotype images. More particular, the cinema use images as a medium to visualize the real. Regardless of how close or far these manufactured images from the reality, which depict. This depends on the message the directors want to convey. The purpose of this paper is to find out to what extent the media images shaped the understanding about the real according to the film Lion of the desert.
