The self-imposition of Globalization spurred the emergence of allies all over the world. Consequently, most of the countries, to yoke with the other mighty nations, opted for miscellaneous amendments in fields like economy, agriculture, and education most importantly. Algerian educational system is no exception; it has been the focal point of serious and focused alterations over the past years. Hence, Algerian schools and universities rushed towards an unscrupulous adoption of new programmes, textbooks, and instructional materials which appeared to be successful in utterly dijferent environments that support the systems introduced. Now, it is high time we evaluated the new LMD system in our higher educational settings. The peerless way to know the efficiency and employability of LMD system is to j udge the alterations, the results, and the ejfects if had on students ' achievements. Since the LMD system had been submitted to various disciplines and subjects in Algerian universities, a holistic assessment of such a huge system would be unmanageable. The scope of this paper herefore, has been purposefully confined to the evaluation of the system from an intercultural perspective. All along the paper, we will be dealing with the following interrogations: Does the LMD system foment learners' development of intercultural skills to act at a global scale in the 21st century? Are we ready to discard tne stereotypical emblem of "all that is European is immaculate "? ls it high time we retooled some aspects of this system?
