Résumé

الملخص: يبرز هذا المقال أهمية الحوكمة البيئية العالمية باعتبارها مقاربة حديثة لحماية البيئة في ظل التحديات البيئية المتزايدة التي يشهدها العالم، والتي أثبتت محدودية قدرة الدول منفردة على مواجهتها. كما يتناول دور المؤسسات الدولية، وعلى رأسها الهيئات الأممية، في تطوير آليات جماعية لإدارة القضايا البيئية، من خلال إشراك مختلف الفاعلين في عملية صنع القرار البيئي. ويبرز المقال أن الحوكمة البيئية تهدف إلى تحقيق التنمية المستدامة عبر ضمان التوازن بين تلبية احتياجات الأجيال الحالية والحفاظ على حق الأجيال القادمة في الموارد الطبيعية، وذلك من خلال ترشيد استغلال الموارد واعتماد سياسات واستراتيجيات تقوم على حماية البيئة. Abstract: This article highlights the importance of global environmental governance as a modern approach to environmental protection in light of the growing environmental challenges facing the world, which have demonstrated the limited capacity of individual states to address them effectively. It also examines the role of international institutions, particularly United Nations bodies, in developing collective mechanisms for managing environmental issues through the involvement of various actors in environmental decision-making processes. The article emphasizes that environmental governance seeks to achieve sustainable development by ensuring a balance between meeting the needs of present generations and preserving the right of future generations to natural resources, through the rational use of resources and the adoption of environmentally sustainable policies and strategies.
