Résumé

This study examines the nature of the scholarly disciplines that attracted the attention of the lesser-known scholarly elite of medieval Algeria (the Central Maghreb). It further investigates the principal factors that directed their intellectual engagement toward particular fields of scholarly writing, stimulated their commitment to enriching these domains through authorship, and encouraged them to devote sustained attention to specific branches of knowledge rather than others. In addition, the paper explores the underlying identity dimension that shaped the intellectual orientations of these obscure Algerian scholars during the period under investigation, examining the extent to which identity influenced their preference for certain fields of learning or, alternatively, encouraged them to broaden the scope of their scholarly interests and intellectual specialization beyond rigid disciplinary boundaries. Furthermore, the study seeks to identify the identity-related features embedded in the content of their scholarly works, demonstrating how these writings reflect the intellectual identity of their authors and underscore their contribution to preserving the foundations of the Islamic scholarly tradition while reinforcing its principles within both intellectual thought and the collective social consciousness. تعالج هذه الورقة البحثية بالدراسة والتحليل طبيعة المجالات العلمية التي استقطبت النخبة العلمية بجزائر العصر الوسيط (المغرب الأوسط) خاصة المغمورة منها، كما تحاول رصد أهمّ المقومات التي وجَّهت أنظار القلم العلمي نحو ذلك الحقل التصنيفي، وشدّت قرائح أهل العلم والمعرفة لرّي مساحته التصنيفية، والاهتمام بذلك الفن دون غيره. وإلى صفِّ ذلك، تسعى للنبش في مكنون البعد الهوياتي الذي ساهم في توجيه أنظار علماء الجزائر المغمورين في الفترة خلال الفترة الزمنية المعنية بالدراسة نحو مجالات علمية معرفية دون غيرها أو توسيع دائرة الاهتمام المعرفي والتخصص العلمي دون قيد ملزم. هذا من جهة، ومن جهة أخرى، تروم هذه الدراسة الكشف عن ملامح البعد الهوياتي في مضامين المادة المصنَّفة من طرفهم؛ ذلك الجهد الذي يعكس هوية المصنِّف ويبرز دوره في الحفاظ على مقومات الهوية العلمية-الإسلامية وترسيخ مبادئها في العقل والضمير الاجتماعي.
