Résumé

Abstract: This article examines the role of military robots as a key component of modern warfare technology and analyzes their impact on the transformation of contemporary combat operations, Advances in artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, robotics, and sensor technologies have enabled military robots to perform a wide range of tasks, including reconnaissance, surveillance, logistics, explosive ordnance disposal, target acquisition, and precision strikes. These capabilities have increased operational efficiency, reduced human exposure to battlefield risks, and enhanced the speed and accuracy of military decision-making. The study adopts a descriptive and analytical approach to assess the strategic, operational, and legal implications of integrating military robots into modern battlefields. It argues that military robots are not merely support tools but have become influential actors in shaping the conduct of warfare and the organization of military operations. At the same time, the article highlights significant challenges related to autonomous decision-making, accountability for unlawful actions, cybersecurity vulnerabilities, ethical concerns, and compliance with international humanitarian law.
