Résumé
The article aims to study the position of Algerian scientific journals within the 2025 Arab Impact Factor and Reference Citations Arcif report related to measuring the importance of scientific journals and citations, through analysing the indicators of the factor and identifying the position of Algerian journals within it at the Arab level. The study relied on the descriptive analytical method based on the official statistics published in the annual report “Arcif 2025” to collect data. The results concluded that Algeria ranked first in the Arab world for the fifth consecutive year, whether in terms of the number of scientific journals or the number of cited authors, which reflects the noticeable transformation and development in the scientific publishing movement in Algeria. The study also shed light on the main factors explaining this progress, in addition to identifying the challenges and future prospects related to strengthening the international presence of Algerian journals in the most prominent indexed international databases.
