Résumé

Entrepreneurial ideas rarely move across markets in their original form. Before attracting investment, partnerships, or public engagement, they must become intelligible to audiences operating within different linguistic and cultural environments. This article examines the role of Arabic–English translation and interpreting in digital business and intercultural entrepreneurial communication. Drawing on English for Specific Purposes (ESP), translation studies, entrepreneurship, and intercultural communication, it argues that translation functions as a form of entrepreneurial mediation through which opportunities, credibility, and business relationships become accessible across linguistic boundaries. The discussion develops the concept of entrepreneurial mediation and explores its significance through five interconnected dimensions: opportunity, trust, intercultural business communication, digital entrepreneurship, and language policy. It also incorporates limited practitioner reflection to illuminate the situated judgements involved in entrepreneurial communication. The article concludes that entrepreneurial success depends not only on innovation and market access but also on communicative processes that enable ideas to be recognised, evaluated, and supported across diverse audiences. Translation therefore constitutes part of the infrastructure through which entrepreneurial opportunities acquire mobility and legitimacy.
