This study investigates how social media platforms support the promotion of women’s handicrafts in Béjaïa, Algeria. Based on data from 115 craftswomen, the findings show that these platforms enhance product visibility, customer outreach, and sales opportunities, particularly through visual content. The results also reveal that the effectiveness of social media use varies according to age, education, professional experience, and craft activity. While digitally oriented artisans benefit most from online exposure, challenges related to digital skills and e-commerce infrastructure continue to limit the full potential of these tools.
