كشفت الدّراسة عن تعقبات ابن سيّد النّاس على عبد الغنيّ المقدسيّ من خلال كتابه النفح الشذيّ، وبيّنت طبيعة هذه التعقبات، ومدى صواب ابن سيّد النّاس فيها، وتوصلت إلى أنّ: جميع تعقباته كانت في إطلاق الحافظ عبد الغنيّ رواية الإمام مسلم لبعض الرواة الذين لم يحتج بهم في صحيحه، وهم: شريك بن عبد الله النخعيّ، وعبد الكريم بن أبي المخارق وحماد بن أبي سليمان. وقد أصاب ابن سيّد النّاس في تعقباته الثلاث حيث أطلق عبد الغنيّ رواية مسلم لشريك فتوهم احتجاجه به، وهو ليس كذلك. وكذا في إخراج مسلم لابن أبي المخارق، وما يوهم إطلاق ذلك في احتجاج مسلم به، وفي الحقيقة كلّ من ذكر باسم عبد الكريم مهملا في صحيح مسلم؛ هو عبد الكريم الجزريّ. وكذا في إطلاقه رواية مسلم لحماد بن أبي سليمان؛ ولحماد رواية واحدة عند مسلم مقرونا بغيره؛ ما يدل على عدم احتجاجه به. لكن الظاهر أن ّإطلاق عبد الغنيّ لرواية مسلم لهم لم يقصد به احتجاج مسلم بهم، لأنّ هذا يحتاج نص عليه منه حتى ينسب إليه، فكان من الأولى منه توضيح طريقة إخراجه لهم. The study revealed Ibn Sayyid al-Nas's critiques of Abd al-Ghani al-Maqdisi in his book, Nafh al-Shadhi, clarifying the nature of these critiques and the extent to which Ibn Sayyid al-Nas was correct in them. It concluded that all of his critiques concerned Abd al-Ghani's inclusion of certain narrators in Imam Muslim's Sahih who were not considered reliable by him, namely: Sharik ibn Abd Allah al-Nakha'i, Abd al-Karim ibn Abi al-Mukharriq, and Hammad ibn Abi Sulayman. Ibn Sayyid al-Nas was correct in all three of his critiques. Abd al-Ghani's inclusion of Sharik's narration by Muslim led to the misconception that Muslim considered him reliable, which was not the case. Similarly, Abd al-Ghani's inclusion of Ibn Abi al-Mukharriq by Muslim also gave the impression that Muslim considered him reliable, when in fact, the individual named Abd al-Karim without further specification in Sahih Muslim was Abd al-Karim al-Jazari. Likewise, Abd al-Ghani's inclusion of Hammad ibn Abi Sulayman's narration by Muslim was incorrect, as Hammad only had one narration in Muslim's Sahih, which was paired with another narration, indicating that Muslim did not consider him reliable. But it appears that Abd al-Ghani’s release of Muslim’s narration to them was not intended to be Muslim’s argument based on them, because this requires a text from him in order to be attributed to him, so it was more appropriate for him to clarify the method of his release to them.
