تهدف هذه الدراسة الى التطرق الى نوع خاص من أنشطة النمذجة الرياضية يعرف باسم أنشطة الكشف عن الأفكار أو أنشطة استنباط النموذج ((MEAs)Model-Eliciting Activities)، وهذا من خلال التطرق إلى تعريف النمذجة الرياضياتية، النموذج، أنشطة (MEAs)، المبادئ الست المطلوبة في تصميم هذا النوع من الأنشطة وفقا لنموذج ليش وآخرون Lesh et al (2000)، طريقة تنفيذ هذا النوع من الأنشطة، واقتراح عدة أمثلة مختارة بعناية من مقالات ودراسات موثقة على هذا النوع من الأنشطة، خصصنا أحدها بالدراسة والتفصيل وهو مشكل: الفندق التاريخي "The Historic Hotel". This study aims to investigate a specific type of mathematical modeling activity known as idea discovery activities, or Model-Eliciting Activities (MEAs). This is achieved by defining mathematical modeling, the model, and Model-Eliciting Activities (MEAs). The study also covers the six principles required for designing this type of activity according to the model developed by Lesh et al. (2000), the methodology for implementing these activities, and proposing several carefully selected examples from documented articles and studies on this type of activity. One example, the problem of "The Historic Hotel," is examined in detail.
