Résumé

Cultural diversity is a central feature of human societies, reflecting varied values, beliefs, and symbolic systems. This study examines cultural difference as an anthropological and historical reality and its implications for coexistence. Drawing on thinkers such as Rawls, Habermas, Taylor, Ricoeur, and Arab intellectuals including Al-Jabri, Hanafi, Arkoun, Al-Masiri, Harb, Tarabishi, Al-Talbi, and Abu Zayd, it explores frameworks for understanding identity, difference, and mutual recognition. The research argues that peaceful coexistence requires not only legal and institutional structures but also a culture of dialogue and interpretive engagement. Cultural difference, rather than causing conflict, can serve as a foundation for social integration and intercultural dialogue.
