Résumé

The rapid advancements in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) are reshaping various sectors, with higher education being no exception. As universities are integrating AI technologies, understanding the adoption, perceived benefits, and encountered challenges from the perspective of university educators becomes crucial. This study employs a quantitative descriptive survey design, targeting a sample of university educators from the department of English language and literature at Batna-2 university. Data collection is conducted through a structured questionnaire. The findings indicate a high level of general awareness of AI among educators, yet a significant gap exists between this awareness and the practical use of AI tools for teaching. Educators believe in the potential of AI to enhance efficiency and provide personalized learning. Nevertheless, they are challenged by significant barriers, including a lack of adequate training, ethical concerns, and infrastructure limitations. The study concludes that while there is a positive attitude and readiness towards AI, successful integration is contingent upon comprehensive professional development, establishing ethical guidelines, and addressing existing infrastructure gaps. The findings serve as a resource to fostering a more informed and strategic approach to AI integration.
