Abstract: This research paper aims to examine reliability as a fundamental statistical indicator in psychological and educational tests by clarifying its concept, importance, estimation methods, interpretation, and influencing factors. The paper adopts the descriptive-analytical method through reviewing and analyzing the relevant literature on the topic. It also addresses the difficulties encountered by some students when applying reliability estimation methods and interpreting their results in academic research, while providing clarifications to promote a better understanding of reliability and its more accurate use. The paper concludes that estimating reliability is not limited to calculating its coefficient; rather, it also requires selecting the appropriate estimation method and interpreting the results in light of the nature of the test, the characteristics of the sample, and the research context. .
