Morphological Profile Of Algerian Jumpers (triple Jump, Long Jump, High Jump And Pole Vault) Using Principal Component Analyses

Résumé

Abstract : It is from the requirements of high performance that we can deduce the appropriate morphological profile. A profile must be determined for different populations (world, continental, regional and national) in order to situate different jumpers according to their sporting level. Through this work, we want to contribute to the determination of the morphological profile of the best Algerian jumpers who are members of the national teams. Our investigation focused on forty of the best Algerian jumpers, ten for each style: long jump, high jump, triple jump and pole vault. We determined the profiles using principal component analyses, and the results show a different profile for each style.
