Linguistics is a scientific discipline concerned with the study of language as a structured system, encompassing its phonological, grammatical, semantic, and pragmatic components. It also examines how language is used in communication, how it evolves across time and cultures, and how meaning is constructed and conveyed within texts and discourse.
