Résumé

Abstract: This research aims to study the Strategy of pragmatic discourse in the dialogues of the prophets with their people as mentioned in the Holy Quran, considering them as dialogical models that reveal the nature of divine-human communication in the context of the call to truth. It clarifies how language is employed to achieve persuasion, impact, and change. The research departs from the perspective of functional pragmatic analysis, which links linguistic structure, communicative context, and the intentional function of speech. The study examines a set of selected dialogical models of a number of prophets, such as Noah, Abraham, Moses, Hud, Salih, and Shuayb (peace be upon them). It aims to uncover the common pragmatic features that characterize prophetic discourse as a whole, with a detailed analysis of some prominent models. The research adopted the descriptive-analytical method, utilizing concepts from modern pragmatics (speech acts, discourse intentions, argumentative indicators, and contextual relations), and the functional perspective that studies language in terms of its practical performance in communication. The study reached several results, the most important of which are: • Prophetic discourse is based on persuasive rather than confrontational communication and relies on dialogue as a tool for social and intellectual reform. Speech acts in the dialogues, of the prophets vary, including interrogative questioning, assertion, reproach, promise, and threat, all of which serve pragmatic functions aimed at arousing consciousness and changing behavior. Keywords: Pragmatic Discourse, Speech Acts, Argumentation, Communicative Function, Dialogues of the Prophets.
