The Role Of Governance Principles In Enhancing Management Oversight In Sports Institutions

Résumé

This study aims to highlight the role of governance principles—primarily disclosure, accountability, fairness, and equality—in enhancing management oversight within sports institutions. It seeks to determine how the application of these principles can improve administrative performance and increase transparency and control within such institutions. The study was conducted on a sample of 30 employees at the Directorate of Youth and Sports in Bouira Province, using a questionnaire as the primary data collection tool. The results were analyzed using appropriate statistical methods to test the proposed hypotheses. Findings revealed statistically significant differences in the participants’ responses in favor of applying governance principles. The results confirmed all proposed hypotheses, indicating that adherence to governance principles effectively strengthens oversight mechanisms and promotes transparency in management. This, in turn, positively impacts the overall performance and efficiency of sports institutions.
