Résumé

There is no doubt that Deleuze’s stance on the Palestinian cause reflects a courageous position deserving of respect and admiration. As always, he does not compromise when it comes to supporting just causes in the world. Yet one may observe that Deleuze supports the Palestinians in their struggle only because he insists on remaining loyal to the principles and imperatives of his philosophical framework which is founded on the right to difference, the right of the Other to exist, on multiplicity, and on resistance against the prevailing order that arrogates human rights. His approach is that of a partial, revolutionary politics that cares about the local, the infinitesimal, the marginalized, and the excluded as opposed to some other thinkers such as Michel Foucault and Régis Debray.
