Résumé

Abstract This study aims to examine the relationship between sports participation, psychological adaptation, social adaptation, and depressive symptoms among children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) aged 9–12 years. A descriptive correlational method was applied, using three standardized instruments: the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) to assess psychological and social adaptation, the Children’s Depression Inventory (CDI) to measure depressive symptoms, and the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) to classify autism severity. The sports program consisted of structured physical activities focusing on aerobic exercises, motor coordination drills, and simple group-based movement games. The findings highlight variations in the strength of correlations depending on autism severity.
