Résumé
Abstract: The society of the Trucial Coast region, like the other societies, and for centuries improved bridges of techniques to communicate and exchange information. Hence, the need requires creation of both media and communication media to obtain such aims. On the other hand, the latter was affected by the overall social, economic, political, and cultural circumstances that impact the region. Moreover, it reflects the prestige of the ruling authority and improves its influence and control. The media in The Coastal Emirates also expresses a general role since its creation dimensions of political and cultural development. The development appears on economic, educational, and implantation of national unity. Media usage in the region through its development represents different stages. It starts with modest self-efforts apart from the British authority domination. Emirates expresses abilities to provide independent methodologies of ruling on its lands by that time. Furthermore, it soon presents links toward aspirations of the people of the region. Additionally, it reinforces their cultural and spiritual values, which guarantees a unique place among the people of the Trucial Coast. This inquiry highlights the contents of a number of sources that spotlight its dominant subject. The meant subject is foreign radio activities in the Trucial Coast Emirates in the first half of the twentieth century. What are the manifestations and repercussions of foreign radio activity on the Trucial Coast Emirates in the first half of the twentieth century. Questions this paper argues are such as, what is the nature of the radio programs that were directed to the region? What are its political, cultural, and social impacts? The study assumes that foreign radio activity applies influential roles. These roles are political, cultural, and social fields within the society of the Trucial Coast during the first half of the twentieth century AD. Keywords: foreign radio activity, cultural life, educational contributions, Trucial Coast Emirates. الملخص باللغة العربية: إن مجتمع منطقة إمارات الساحل المتصالح شأنه شأن باقي المجتمعات بحث منذ عصور بعيدة عن طرق للتواصل، وتبادل المعلومات؛ لذا ألزمت الحاجة إلى خلق وسائل إعلام واتصال لتلبية متطلبات التواصل والمعلومة، هذه الأخيرة تأثرت بمجمل الظروف الاجتماعية والاقتصادية والسياسية والثقافية السائدة بالمنطقة، ومن جهة أخرى عكست هيبة السلطة الحاكمة وتعزيز نفوذها وسيطرتها، كما ساعدت وسائل الإعلام في إمارات الساحل منذ ولادتها في عمليات التنمية السياسية والثقافية والاقتصادية والتعليمية، والمحافظة على الوحدة الوطنية. إن توظيف وسائل الإعلام بالمنطقة من خلال تطورها مرت بمراحل مختلفة، فقد بدأت بجهود ذاتية متواضعة بعيداً عن أعين السلطات البريطانية المحتلة نظراً لخصوصية إمارات الساحل حينئذ، ولكن سرعان ما ظهرت وارتبطت بأماني أهالي المنطقة وقيمهم الثقافية والروحية ممَّا جعل لها مكانة خاصة لدى أبناء الساحل المتصالح. لقد سلطت هذه الدراسة الضوء على ما تضمنته جملة المصادر التي اعتمدنا عليها على موضوع النشاط الإذاعي الأجنبي في إمارات الساحل المتصالح في النصف الأول من القرن العشرين، فما هي مظاهر وتداعيات النشاط الإذاعي الأجنبي على إمارات الساحل المتصالح في النصف الأول من القرن العشرين؟ وما هي طبيعة البرامج الإذاعية التي كانت موجهة للمنطقة؟ وما تأثيراتها السياسية والثقافية والاجتماعية؟ وافــــتـرضت الدّراسة أنَّه كان للنشاط الإذاعي الأجنبي أدواراً مؤثرة في المجالات السياسية والثقافية والاجتماعية داخل مجتمع إمارات الساحل المتصالح خلال النصف الأول من القرن العشرين الميلادي. الكلمات المفتاحية: النشاط الإذاعي الأجنبي، الحياة الثقافية، المساهمات التعليمية، إمارات الساحل المتصالح.
