Abstract : The novelist, the playwright, the poet and the artist in general rely on the imagination that constitutes his mentality in order to create new productions. This imagination is considered for the author as an intangible treasure that encompasses experiences, beliefs and different socio-cultural representations, and this so that he is able to create and rewrite his experience and that of the Other. This manifestation of the imagination in artistic production allows the reader to renew his system of ideas and to broaden his vision of the world towards his existence and that of the Other who carries within him another culture and another identity. For example, Dibien's work is a better illustration of this leitmotif where the writer manipulates scenes from the Algerian collective memory with the imagination in order to create a harmonious fusion of images that paint a probable universe made up of representations replacing the reality. Our question is therefore: How can the imaginary translate the essence of a literary production to the reader?
