By correcting the written production of their students, teachers usually leave comments on their copies. These comments are a pedagogical tradition that is well anchored in the teacher evaluation process and takes a significant amount of time. In this article, we will attempt, first of all, to describe the evaluative methods of teachers and we will try, later, what type of commentary could contribute to the learning of writing.
