الشيخ أبو القاسم الحفناوي ودوره في الكتابة التاريخية الجزائرية

الملخص

يسعى المقال إلى دراسة المسار العلمي والمهني للشيخ أبي القاسم الحفناوي، وتحديد إسهامه الفكري والتاريخي في الجزائر مطلع القرن العشرين من خلال مؤلفه الموسوعي "تعريف الخلف برجال السلف''، والذي شكّل ردّا بليغا على السياسة الاستعمارية الفرنسية التي عملت على إنكار الوجود التاريخي والحضاري والعلمي للجزائر، وتمكن من وضع قاعدة بيانات بيبلبوغرافية مهمة اعتمد عليها مؤرخو الحركة الوطنية لاحقا مثل: مبارك الميلي، أحمد توفيق المدني، وعبد الرحمن الجيلالي. كما قد مثّل الشيخ أبو القاسم الحفناوي نموذجاً للمثقف الجزائري الجامع بين أصالة التكوين الشرعي والانفتاح على معارف العصر؛ فقد أسس عبر وظائفه المتعددة ومؤلفه الموسوعي لمرحلة جديدة في إثبات الوجود القومي، وإحياء التراث الوطني، والتأسيس للمدرسة التاريخية الجزائرية الحديثة. وعليه يعالج المقال إشكالية ظهور الكتابة التاريخية الجزائرية ومميزاتها في مطلع القرن العشرين كمظهر من مظاهر المقاومة الثقافية للاستعمار الفرنسي من خلال مؤلف الشيخ أبي القاسم الحفناوي. This article examines the scholarly and professional career of Cheikh Abou al-Qasim al-Hafnawi and highlights his historical contribution to early 20th-century Algeria through his work *Ta'rif al-Khalaf bi-Rijal al-Salaf*. This book -which served as a response to the French policy denying Algeria's historical existence- established a significant bibliographic foundation upon which historians of the national movement would later rely. Sheikh al-Hafnawi also embodied the model of the Algerian intellectual who combined the authenticity of a religious education with an openness to modernity; accordingly, the article explores the emergence of Algerian historical writing in the early 20th century -as a form of cultural resistance against French colonialism- through the lens of al-Hafnawi’s work. Cet article se propose d'examiner le parcours scientifique et professionnel du cheikh Abou El-Qasim El-Hafnaoui et de mettre en lumière sa contribution historique en Algérie au début du XXe siècle, à travers son ouvrage *Ta'rif al-Khalaf bi-Rijal al-Salaf*. Ce livre, qui constituait une réponse à la politique française niant l'existence historique de l'Algérie, a permis d'établir une base de données bibliographique importante sur laquelle se sont ultérieurement appuyés les historiens du mouvement national. Le cheikh El-Hafnaoui a également incarné le modèle de l'intellectuel algérien alliant l'authenticité d'une formation en sciences religieuses à une ouverture sur la modernité ; à ce titre, l'article examine la problématique de l'émergence de l'écriture historique algérienne au début du XXe siècle -en tant que forme de résistance culturelle au colonialisme français -à travers l'œuvre d'El-Hafnaoui.
