This study examines the reality of health frailty among the elderly in Algeria based on data from the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS6), for a sample of 16,858 elderly persons. The indicators revealed a growing burden of morbidity: the proportion of those afflicted with one disease reached 58.7%, while a quarter of the study sample faced the challenge of multimorbidity, at a rate of 25.4%. The chi-square test confirmed a significant association between morbidity among the elderly and socio-economic indicators.
