الملخص

تتقصى هذه الدراسة الدور الذي يلعبه فيسبوك في تنمية الوعي السياسي والوعي المدني لدى طلبة الجامعات الجزائرية، وكيف يؤدي الانخراط في المحتوى السياسي على فيسبوك إلى إثراء الأبعاد المعرفية والوجدانية والسلوكية للوعي السياسي لدى الطلاب، وبالتالي إلى تعزيز المواطنة المستنيرة والتفكير النقدي والمشاركة المدنية، ومن خلال منهجية وصفية تحليلية، يرسم البحث المحددات التي تشكّل إسهام فيسبوك في التربية السياسية – وتشمل إمكانات المنصة والكفاءة الرقمية والبيئة الاجتماعية السياسية والثقافة المؤسسية للجامعة – كما يحدّد المظاهر المحددة للسلوك السياسي البنّاء داخل الوسط الجامعي الجزائري، وتؤكد الدراسة أن فيسبوك يعمل كمورد مهم للتعلم السياسي والتنشئة المدنية، وأن تأثيره التربوي يتوسّط بجودة النظم البيئية للمعلومات الرقمية، والمناخ المعياري للجامعة، والثقافة السياسية المتطورة تاريخيا للشباب الجزائري This paper investigates the constructive role of Facebook in cultivating political awareness and civic consciousness among university students in Algeria. Drawing on agenda-setting theory, the uses and gratifications framework, and the theory of mediated political action, the study examines how engagement with political content on Facebook enriches students’ cognitive, affective, and behavioural dimensions of political awareness, thereby fostering informed citizenship, critical thinking, and civic participation. Through a descriptive-analytical methodology, the research maps the determinants that shape Facebook’s contribution to political education—including platform affordances, digital literacy, socio-political environment, and university institutional culture—and identifies the specific manifestations of politically constructive conduct within the Algerian university milieu. The paper argues that Facebook functions as a significant resource for political learning and civic socialisation whose educational impact is mediated by the quality of digital information ecosystems, the normative environment of the university, and the historically evolving political culture of Algerian youth. The study concludes with evidence-based recommendations for educational policy, civic digital literacy programmes, and a future research agenda centred on the positive dimensions of social media’s role in democratic citizenship formation.
