The Concept Of Quality Of Life Between Subjective And Objective Indicators

Authors : Djameleddine Tahar .

Abstract

Abstract : The article addresses the concept of quality of life as a definition of individual experiences assessed by subjective assessments of satisfaction and happiness related to mental health in the context of different aspects of how a person experiences their life from an objective point of view (e.g., through the prism of social policies as related to the economy or to the social environment) or from a subjective point of view . Each of these viewpoints has multiple definitions of quality of life, depending on the theoretical approach. The definition is different within social science (objective) than it is within psychology (subjective) and within medicine (Biopsychosocial). Definitions of quality of life have evolved and adapted through various models that integrate multiple dimensions of humanity's nature, and as a result the definition of quality of life must take into consideration the interaction of both the subjective and the objective dimensions of the concept to develop an adequate definition of overall well-being.
