Ontology Of Machine Translation In The Context Of Computational Linguistics

Authors : Haouchi Aida .

Abstract

Machine translation is a part of computer language work and natural language processing especially for languages like Arabic. There have been a lot of improvements in machine translation. There are still some problems. These problems are with representing what we know and processing meanings. This study looks at how computer ontology can help improve machine translation systems for Arabic. The study looked at machine translation systems, including Arab Tran, Google Translate, Golden El Wafi and Chat GPT Translator. The study used an approach looking at documents and comparing these systems. The study focused on how these systems work with words, sentences, meanings, context and ontology. The results show that using ontology to represent what we know can make machine translation better and more accurate.. It is still important for language experts and computer engineers to work together to make Arabic language systems better. The study also found that computer systems that use intelligence are better at understanding context than other approaches. However we still need to use ontological frameworks to deal with the challenges of the Arabic language. Machine translation systems, for Arabic need to get better and using ontology can help with that.
