Algeria is one of the largest African countries, with extensive geographical borders shared with the countries of the Maghreb Union and the Sahel region, which qualifies it to serve as a major commercial hub for African markets at the level of North Africa. Moreover, Algeria aspires to become a leading economic actor by exporting its products at competitive prices that align with African market needs, thereby reducing dependence on Western countries. In return, Algeria can secure its supply of raw materials available in African countries, which are essential for its domestic production. To this end, the Algerian authorities, in coordination with their African counterparts, have developed several economic strategies aimed at promoting trade exchanges, notably through the establishment of free trade zones, in addition to cooperation in the energy sector.
