الملخص
This study aims to reveal the commitment of Algerian television channels to ethical standards when dealing with crime issues and news, by examining how “Al Bilad TV” channel dealt with criminal phenomena in the “Crime Investigation” program. To reveal this, we selected a systematic random sample of episodes of this program. Adopting a descriptive-analytical approach, the selected numbers were analyzed using content analysis. After collecting and analyzing the information, our study—which relied on the theory of social responsibility as its theoretical approach—concluded that. We reached a number of conclusions, the most important of which is: Al Bilad channel demonstrated social responsibility in its handling of issues related to crimes, and it committed to an objective media approach to the phenomenon of crime in its various forms
