This article examines how artificial intelligence is reshaping strategic judgment in international crises, from a perspective that combines conceptual analysis with security and diplomatic applications. The main question is: how does artificial intelligence, as a cognitive and operational tool, affect the structure of strategic judgment, the production of misperception, and the rise of escalation risks? The article uses an analytical and interpretive approach based on a synthetic reading of recent literature in international relations, security studies, and artificial intelligence research. The discussion is organized around four connected sections: the algorithmic transformation of strategic judgment, artificial intelligence and strategic misperception, the shift from misperception to escalation dynamics, and the governance and control of algorithmic risk. The article concludes that artificial intelligence does not only increase speed and efficiency. It also reshapes the conditions under which decisions are produced, which may create new forms of misperception and faster paths to escalation. This makes institutional and normative governance essential for reducing these risks and protecting international stability.
